The Global Floating Production Industry Survey 2026 Results Released

Energy Maritime Associates (EMA) recently published the results of its 2026 Global Floating Production Industry Survey, conducted in collaboration with Offshore Magazine. Respondents expressed continued optimism about floating production activity—particularly for FPSOs and FLNGs in South America and West Africa.

• Industry sentiment remains positive, though it has softened from last year’s record highs. This year, 68% of respondents are confident in meeting their targets—down from 86% in the previous survey.

• Cost inflation continues to moderate, driven largely by stabilization in labor and commodity markets. Several respondents anticipate cost increases of less than 5% over the coming year.

• Project delays in 2024–2025 have eased capacity constraints, providing supply chains with much‑needed breathing room and helping to temper cost pressures.

Now in its 13th year, the EMA Annual Global Floating Production Industry Survey brings together insights from professionals across the full floating production value chain. Respondents represent oil companies, engineering firms, financial institutions, equipment suppliers, construction yards, and asset owners/operators—offering a comprehensive, industry wide perspective.

Participants span executive and senior technical roles in strategy, business development, engineering, project management, commercial, and finance functions. This breadth ensures the survey captures both high level strategic priorities and the on the ground operational realities shaping today’s FPS market.
